The Stal Claymore is a weapon found in the Second Wind Fan Expansion. It can be dropped from Stal enemies, and is considered a bone weapon. Therefore it's damage is increased when wearing armor with the Bone Atk. Up bonus such as the Phantom Ganon set.
Being metallic weapons, Stal Claymores will attract Lightning if they're equipped during thunderstorms. They're also incapable of burning if they're exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. If they're dropped in the water, they'll sink, but they can be picked up using the Magnesis Rune.
