The following is a list of Animals added in Breath of the Wild: Second Wind.
New Animals[]
Dodongo[]
- Main article: Dodongo
Usually fought as an enemy in the Zelda series. Dodongo can be found in the Eldin region, specifically around Death Mountain. They explode upon death but unlike previous incarnations of the monster they can be ridden similar to Horses, Deer and Bears.
Owl
- Main article: Owl
Owls are recurring animals within the Zelda series, often representing sentient characters. Within Breath of the Wild: Second Wind, Owls are another species of bird that can be found around Hyrule. They are only seen flying in the air, but unlike most animals can be seen during the night as well as daytime.
Red Panda
- Main article: Red Panda
New to the Zelda series, this type of animal can only be found around Kakariko.
Rabbit
- Main article: Rabbit
Having taken on a number of forms throughout the series, rabbits are a commonly seen animal. Within Breath of the Wild: Second Wind, Rabbits are a type of wildlife with various species found in the different regions of Hyrule.
Mammoth
- Main article: Mammoth
New to the Zelda series, this type of animal can only be found in very cold regions such as the Hebra mountains.
